This time we head to the hills of North Victoria. I was using RC 36gram #1 shot at 3.7mm. One fox managed to escape a barrage of pellets and ran to the creek, only later to emerge running a long the fenceline in front of me and quickly dispatched. The foxes were breaking everywhere. 13 down for the day. Every dog was voicing and working, Jagd, Jack Russells and Beagles.

Woodeigh 220gr RNSP Versus Nosler 165gr Ballistic Tips on Sambar Deer Victoria 06/11/2023
Greetings. I write from Central Italy. I would like to know how and when the fox was introduced to Australia. at the same time as the wild rabbit or even earlier? and finally I would like to know if neighboring New Zealand also has problems with foxes. Thank you in advance for your possible response. Greetings. Anthony.
Fox and rabbit was introduced from England. Fox in 1855 and rabbit in 1859 for hunting. New Zealand does not have foxes. Deer and hares were also introduced into Australia for hunting.
Noce videos...good job my friend 👍💯
And I thought it was Yorkshire until the Roos appeared 😂
Certainly feels that way. English terraformed it.

Was a sambar but I didn't get it on video.
good job mate :)
Was a great day. Will be in the mud swamp next week 😂
Good stuff! Not quite as picturesque as last weekend but it looks / sounds like a great day👍.
@swishswish386 Hills were bigger , colder and not as sunny. I agree.
Shooting almost right at the guy on your side 😮
Great work bud.
Did the germans get the first one? Was it injured?
Yes and yes
Nice work,mate.😎🍺🍺
Nice stuff, as usual 👍 At the risk of sounding “wanky” it was somewhat a visual splendour. Beautiful green undulating pasture (Gippsland??), clear sky with winter sun, the engraved receiver, the deep walnut stock then the satisfying visual of that dirty stinking lamb killing vermin hitting the dirt.. Well done 👍
Yep out Gippsland this weekend. Doesn't get better than this. Green pastures, cool weather and warm sun with the sound of the hounds in full flight.
Wow great follow up shot. Well done.
SSG = special small grape (from musket shooting days)
Hey mate, what shotgun camera are you using?
Shotkam Gen4
@@mchughcb thanks heaps mate
Hey Chuck. U used to hunt with bbf97 and aimpoint H1. Have you ever tried to sight in the gun with reddot and optic sight? I get totally different POI using different sights. I mean I can't use the gun with 2 different optics 🫣 manufacturer can't answer my question 🤔
Yes I have. I have found that if you regulate both barrels for one optic sight they will not be regulated for the second optic sight, and can be out by several inches. On the BBF with the rifle shotgun barrel then I just make sure the rifle barrel is sighted in. the shotgun is close enough. But on the 9.3x74R x 9.3x74R I have only regulated to one swaro scope that's it.
Thank you. Now I know that I'm not crazy. I think manufacturer should mention that in user manual at least.
Nice man way to go.
Nice vid what load you using please
It's in the description. 12 gauge NSI 32gram #2 lead shot. 3.5mm diameter.
fox where
No fox, only Sambar😂
Hi Chuck, are you still hunting with Danny and the boys? If so I am sure they wouldn’t turn up their noses at some free range venison and it would have been fun to see some taken on the drive. Love your work with the camera and look forward to seeing some more adventures with the hounds and crew. Well done!!
No I haven't hunted with them for a while.
A couple solids you could of had some venison lol
why not a deer drive then?
They came close this trip. Were they Samba? Looked to big for Hog.
Yep I saw more sambar than foxes.
Pure magic, brilliant footage.

A day well spent is a day in the hills.😎
Great days, great views and bloody cold.
Great video. Doing some mountain climbing, that's tough work on a Sunday morning.
It was some climb and 5 degrees up there dying of hypothermia but it was worth it watching the deer coming around the mountain.
Great video as always, could you please tell me what chokes you are using for each barrel. I have a 20inch akkar 3 in 12 gauge
I'm using IC, C, IC. They are carlson chokes I bought off ebay . They are better quality than the remchokes that came with the original gun and are rated for steel and tungsten supershot. A lot of people love full chokes but in my experience over hounds IC is better as if you can be a bit more off target and still bring down the game by going to a smaller shot size like #2.
@mchughcb thankyou for the reply and the info, I will look into the Carlson chokes.
Couple of good shots. Well done.
They were sneaking about in the pea souper yesterday.
What you think off the O/U
Fitted me very well.
@@mchughcb 😃🤙 , better off sticking with Chiappa 😉🤙 it seems to work very well

25, well done
And 11 more on Sunday. 36 in total.

Clearly, it couldn't be more unclear to see whats happening .
What size TSS shot on the 80yrd shot?
24 grams of #7. Used it on the 40m shot too.
@@mchughcb Amazing, would TSS no.4(3.3mm) be better in a 12ga, 32grm?
@bruceyeoward6544 That's overkill. 28gtams of #7 kills better than 42grams of lead BBs.
@@mchughcb Tks, what choke best for a 12ga, 28grm TSS. Like to give it a try. Mylar wrap in a standard plastic wad OK.
@bruceyeoward6544 I'm using cylinder and improved cylinder. I've used standard wads and two wraps of Mylar before but the tungsten can penetrate the wad wall during firing and scratch the bore. I recommend the special steel/tss wads from ballistic products and I use pearl barley as a filler to ensure the shot stays inside the wad while in the barrel.
Are you heading out with south Riv hunt club this year?
Yes. Finley first.
Well spent weekend. 😎
